8 days til X-mas

Ok, so there are about 8 day until Christmas.  I still need to buy like 4 gifts for my family and wrap like all of them.  Being this close to Christmas means that it is finals week at school.  Lucky me, I know.  I have 2 finals on Wednesday and 1 final exam on Thursday late afternoon.  And then it is vacation.  YAY!  Hopefully all of them will go smoothly and without any problems.  

All of my concerts that I had went well.  During the Jazz combo concert, our group kind of went into a semi-cluster fuck.  None of us knew what was going on, mostly because just before the concert out "director" told us that the solos were "open".  Meaning that the solos could go on for how long you wanted to.  The problem with that is that apparently it has been like that from the beginning but we have not been practicing the song like they were open.  This caused mass confusion amongst us and so I personally thought that it went poorly.  The small crowd didn't think so but that doesn't change my feelings.  Apparently I did something right during that night cause the saxophone instructor at my college was there and I guess I impressed him during the first song of a Jam session after both combo groups went, cause he said that I did really well and he wanted to do a trade off solo with me.  For those who don't know what I am talking about, a trade-off solo is when one soloist plays a for a little bit and then the second soloist cuts him off and does his own solo.  This goes back and forth for a little bit until the last time through the solo, where both soloists plays at the same time.  After words, he told me that I had a lot of potential and that I should take lessons next semester.  As of right now, I am strongly considering it.  

Not much is going on with me.  Haven't gotten in the mood to draw any more crappy drawings or take any more photos.  Not taking any photos mostly because I haven't seen anything worthy to take a photo of.  Who knows, maybe I'll see something this upcoming week.  I'll probably put up more photos from work during the first couple weeks of January so maybe keep an eye out for them.  If not , then you'll just have to settle with what I have until I get something new up.
